Verdant Doula offers prenatal, continuous labor and birth support, as well as postpartum doula services, lactation support, emotional support, and more.
Postpartum services include check-in visits (virtual/phone), in person or virtual breastfeeding support, mental health check-ins, newborn care guidance, emotional support, and assistance with tasks like light housework and meal preparation. General guidance on postpartum healing & referrals addressing your specific concerns.
Daytime support is available on a weekly basis or as needed.
Yes, Verdant Doula provides plant-based nutrition help, recipes, and meal preparation assistance as part of their services. Meal plans are focused on providing high-protein, high iron foods for postpartum recovery. Even if you are not plant based, this healthy way of eating can contribute to healing after birth. In Michigan, doula services are covered by Medicaid but not private insurance. For details, contact your insurance company.
I am currently able to accept: Straight Medicaid, MOMS Medicaid, United Healthcare, Priority Health Choice, McLaren Health plan, and Meridian, Molina and Aetna through the meetmae.com platform.
Private Pay – Prenatal, Birth and labor support $1100. Balance due by 37 weeks.
Postpartum first 6 weeks package $350
Individual sessions $25/hour, minimum 2 hours, billed weekly.
Individual prenatal sessions – to cover Birth education & Breastfeeding Basics $50 per class

If you plan on Labor support, we will meet at least 2x in person prior to your due date. From 37 weeks on, Aletha will be on-call to help you labor peacefully at home & attend your hospital birth.
1 postpartum visit included in labor support package, usually 3 -5 days after the birth.
Experience personalized care with continuous labor support, informational support, and virtual or in-home assistance with breastfeeding and newborn care.
